Within the last year I wrote a proposal for money to visit a conference of my choice. The end outcome was to see CROP BR or CROP Baton Rouge. I really wanted to go to creative south but this was just as good. I was really excited to go to this conference because James Victore was going to be there and my whole heart ached to meet him finally. Sadly Mr. Victore, had a family emergency and was not able to attend the conference. At first, I was majorly bummed because seeing him was one of the biggest reasons I chose this conference, but the conference ended up offering so much more so it wasn't like it was a loss. Especially since the whole thing was paid by scholarship/grant money.
I was able to meet wonderful professionals from Proctor and Gamble. As well as see some stunning typographers which makes me happy as a lark. I even got some cool poster prints from vendors, who also turned out to be some of the guest speakers and I got some swag from the conference promoters too.
