photographing shreveport - part 3 - aBANDONED Train

This will be the final post of these for a little while.  Not sure when I will have time to go out and explore again...at least until next weekend.  The photographs in this blog post were taken the same day as the part 2 blog post.  This set was taken at an abandoned train.  These shots were particularly exciting for me because of location, cops, and the fact that parts of the train that I took photographs of were partially off limits.  The train was under a underpass and there was a cop parked near it.  I parked on the opposite side and began to photograph the outside of the train.  There was one step ladder that was still functioning, with the purpose of enticing people to explore that one train.  The other train car was boarded up and steps had been removed. This caused me to want to explore the inside of it even more.  I jumped on to the connecting car pieces (IN HEELS!) and climbed into the abandoned train.  In there I found the most beautiful lighting conditions.  I feared my camera would die, or I would use the wrong settings and lose the perfect shot.  Catching my breath, I began to take photographs of the train, checking each and every shot to be sure it was in focus and that the shots were correctly developed. Below are the images from that session.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

pHOTOGRAPHING SHREVEPORT - PART 2

These photographs were actually taken before the other post.  These were originally some of my favorite shots from the last two weeks.  This was my first real venture out to explore the town without fear of getting lost.  I planned the trip accordingly.  Phone was charged.  Had a book to keep my photography notes in from the trip and the purpose was set to stop at nothing to come home with some brilliant shots.

I will have a part three of this set that were taken the same day.  The reason for not posting them to this set is I don't want it to get lost in the long line of photographs.  If you have any questions about settings or how I found the locations, please don't hesitate to ask.
